Archived Tailgate hinge bolts gone!

I dunno if someone was trying to steal my tailgate or if they just rattled out, but the hinge was stuck luckily in between the bumper and the bed, so at least I have that. Can I just use regular hardware store bolts or will I have to go the dealer?

I would just purchase bolts from your local hardware store. They will be a lot cheaper.

Don't get hardware _grade_ bolts. They should be grade 8. 8 or better if metric, 5 or better if American thread. I don't know which was used. If you put them in with red Loctite, you won't have to worry about them coming out again, ever.
