Thanks, TDR Staff

dual wheel valve extensions

215 60 16 tires

if this isn't a first world problem, I dont know what would be. Nanny State baloney too..

anyway, acquaintance has a very newish GM pickup with every bell and whistle known to mankind
and he whacked his tailgate with his fifth wheel trailer... not hard enough to ruin the tailgate but hard enough to notice he hit the tailgate..

now he has an intermittent tailgate open warning with a corresponding ding ding ding while driving.

anyone have an idea where the sensor is or how to disconnect it?

I would look at the gaps on both sides of the tailgate. This is where i would think you would find the sensor, as this would be the best location to signal open tailgate. As far as to disable the "alarm", I'm sure that there would be some way in the settings menu of the truck to shut off. What size truck? (1500, 2500, 3500) If larger then 1/2 ton, there has to be an override of this with the ability to put camper in bed and have to remove the tailgate. Good luck.
