Taking Delivery of my 05' tomorrow

After 2 1/2 months of waiting ,the new truck is in . Will be taking delivery tomorrow of a 3500 DRW CTD 6spd 2wd .

Its been exactly 6 years since i bought my 99 and can't think straight for the moment. The anxiety is killin' me and the whole process of buying a new vehicle again is nerve racking . It feels like waiting in the dentist's office to be called in for a root canal.

Any suggestions comments ,therapy etc. :--)

I've had my new truck 1 yr now and I still get excited when I start it up and get on the road.

There is no cure.

Good knowing I am not the only one with the problem . Going to miss the sound of my 2ND Gen truck after i trade it in, but i'll have get used to it.

I doubt you will miss the noise for long. The new ones speak softly but carry a BIG stick :-laf It sounds and feels a little like a locomotive when you get on it, the torque is very impressive. The third gens are also much more solid feeling, the frame is much improved, you're going to love it!

Take her for a test drive prior to signing. Get her up to 80mph to see if you have the dreaded vibration problem that is yet to have a concrete fix. At least you know what you have before you sign.



I think the vibration is mostly on 4x4s. Mine is 4x2 and it has none, notta, zip at any speed.



You are gonna love the truck. Oo. Tell us more about what you are getting.

Yep , you were dead one man. Took delivery of my 05 6spd ,all i can say is wow. Son-***** is quite, smooth, and seems to have a hell of alot more kick than my 2gen.

I've had mine up to 90 no problems whatsoever, smooooth !!!!!!!!
