Duramax Website

do you use exhaust brake NOT while towing?

There was one very unhappy D-Max owner (former owner) on XMASS day it looks like on the GM site.

After he vented a little, the rest of them started in on him fast. What a loyal group??

This Mule Power fellow sounds a lot like me when I dumped my old '88 Chevy 350. What a POS, but it was like getting a clean bill of health from the doc when I got rid of the Chevy and picked up the Dodge.

I think we can all relate to being blown off by the dealer though. Sad part is when the parent company (GM in this case) won't back up a lousy dealer.

"They all do that". Then their all junk! "I did not notice any strange noise/vibration". Then you did not look for any! "That TDR bumper sticker caused your pump to go bad". Huh!... ... ... .

I still cant get over every time I see the duamax site so many people are complaining about problems. And the rest are just defending the duamax. Then look at TDR we really have few problems and most of them are very minor. A great part of talk on TDR is on bombing. I was always a GMC person But when it can to a new diesel dodge was the only choice. 33k on my 2001 3500 and I couldnt be happier. (unless I could get 4 REAL doors). Just glad to be on this side of the fence. :D :D :D :D

Some of those guys are seriously brainwashed! Its amazing how they can't accept negative comments from one of their own frustrated members.

They Shafted Mule Power !

I have seen guys post negative stuff about Dodges on this Forum and NEVER have the others jumped on them like that. This crew will usually give advice and try to help. Hope MulePower gets a Dodge. I will welcome him to this site.

I think that I may have bought the wrong truck. I saw a commerical on TV tonight for the Duramax, and it said it was the most powerfull diesel truck on the market.

If you read the posts over there any time at all, you soon start noticing that it seems like half the people posting over there WORK for GM

That most powerful diesel truck on the market claim is really amazing. I guess the thing will out pull a Peterbilt. Do you think?

DEFENSIVE

When I talked to the driver of the power tour truck at my state fair in 99 or 2000 he told me to wait for a couple of years to get a Duramax(what a ugly name). Did you catch the cat that wanted a VIN number to post. That is one disfuntional family of diesel owners. For the most part we try to help each other, and seem to enjoy and appreciate the info we are shareing. Makes me want to go hug a tree, or chop one down I'm not sure.

oh wow, look at this...

the quote of that site is by member NorCalDMAX... .

I sure hope mule power lets us know who he sold it to so if the new owner comes on the board and has similar issues, we know. We ought to have our signatures come with our VIN numbers... At least Jim could have that as a precursor to signing up of which us contributors could not have access to.

WOW!!! That is just... . That is too funny I think.

Anyways, hope they come down off their high chairs one day.
