From Indy, 465 to I-65 South.

50 Miles south to Seymour Indiana, exit turn right on US50 for 13 miles.

Go left onto SR250 for 2. 4 miles. Stay straight go onto SR39 1. 4 miles.

Turn right SR39 1. 6 miles, Turn right again SR39 2. 2 miles.

Arrive Tampico, Indiana.

You cannot miss it, there will be about 10k people surrounding a 300' track.

The track is off to the north of the small town.

There is no stoplight in the town, very small similar to a backwoods area like Got Smoke was raised in.

Just out of curiosity. Why did they schudule the same weekend as IRP?

This pull at Tampico is on the last weekend of the month of June and has been for as long as I can remember its a great place to pull and a great place to watch a pull. Hopefully I will be back together by this weekend and get to pull.

I have been to Tampico quite a few times and I think it is about the best pull I have ever been to. A friend of mine runs a tractor and I went with him most of the time until a couple of years ago. Another good one is Otwell which is about 10 miles south of where I live, last year there were about a dozen Dodge trucks there. Many of the owners/drivers may be TDR members, I didn't get a chance to meet any of them.

Yo Hoot,

Tampico has been on this date since the late 1950's.

So its sort of the other way around.

I have no idea what they are pulling Friday night, but I know Saturday is the Diesel trucks at the end.

It is the ATPA class that includes the likes of: Craig Severson, Mike Tomac, George Peterson, Todd Cox, etc.

You know the kind SLEDPULLER has no chance in hell of winning.

Yep, I do.

They have a mess of classes, then the two important ones:

Free admission

Friday night, 6:00 pm:

4x4 Stock gas or Diesel

4x4 OPEN Diesel guaranted money.

Saturday at 6:00 pm,Two classes of ITPA altered stock trucks whatever they are.

4x4 Stock and open Diesel trucks again

Several tractor classes, including Hot farm, and a MFWD and then the kicker, and I quote, "Totally Anything goes class", a Cadillac V-8 powered golf cart is scheduled to appear and a 90,000 pound crane carrier.

Fireworks at 10:30 Saturday.

Directions:

I-70 West of Airport to Stae Road 39 North,500 feet, make left to Hazlewood. This is not far from Plainfield, at all.

Both pulls would be great.
