Tank Size????

Did all 93 W250 reg cabs come with the same size gas tank? I am under the impression that mine has a 35 gallon tank, I hope I am wrong or I am getting horrible milage(10mpg) thanks to all who respond, Alex

93 W250, standard cab, 8 foot bed. The back cover of my owners manual says 30 gallon fuel capacity. This seems correct from my experience through the years.

No, you have a 30 gallon tank. Just get under there and look for the 30 stamped on the bottom.

Ok, I see you were using the gauge to check MPGs. While that can be a guide, the best way is to fill the tank (I know, hard bullet to bite sometimes), drive at least half a tank, and divide the miles driven by gallons used.



All the diesels I have seen have had 30 gallon tanks. Low Fuel light comes on at about 24-25 gallons used.
