If one was to insert a toggle or some such switching device into the Clutch Position Sensor jumper on our AT equipped trucks, what would be the amperage requirement of said switching device ?

1) Since it is a "sensor", current is not really involved. It is "sensing" a contact closure and current drain is miniscule. Maybe 5 milliamps or so.

What is your thoughts on doing this? Seems like the PCM needs to know what the transmission is doing?

this concept of theft deterent is documented in a recent TDR magazine. would also tick of the kids wanting to borrow Dad's truck..... :) here a work we have lost two vehicles and a right front wheel/tire in the last two weeks.

I have one of my cigarette lighters wired up as a anti theft device. Without the plug in the truck wont start. Might work if you dont smoke.
