Hard start FASS related?

Thought I had a handle on twins

Now I know that maybe I was expecting more from my COMP than I got. I drove around for a while to see if I was going to have any problems with my vp44. After a while I started turning up the comp to see what it had. Keep in mind I have been running it in EZ mode for a couple months now and I know what that feels like.

My boost is up but it just doesn't seem like I am getting the "full" power out of the comp. Is it because I am still running factory injectors? I have stage II's but have not installed them yet. You can see my sig for anything else I have done.

Maybe I had my expectations to high. I do have good power and ground connections. (to the battery like you guys said)

Let me know what you guys think.....

Supposedly the H. O. 's don't react as well as the ETC's with a box but you should still have a kick in the pants. How much boost and EGT's are you seeing? I'm assuming you have the boost elbow installed?

is the right wire tapped on the pump? I didn't bother with just an EZ connection went right for the wire and boy mine sure lights up the rear end now. Cranked my wastegate down also.

On a moist road with the Comp on 5x5 I can start from a stop ease through the gears to fourth moseying about 30 mph and a couple pouns of boost if I give it half throttle or so about the time the boost hits 20 psi the 255/85 MT dually tires break loose and I'm sideways.

As for boost, if I stand on it in fourth gear I can hit 39 psi with the stock HX-35 and stock injectors. On 5x5 your adding a 50% increase in HP, you should definantely feel it.

I used the pump cover from blue chip.

I do have the boost elbow, was seeing mid to high 30's on level 5x5. Wasn't watching my egt's that close but I hit 1200 pretty quick. I will check both today after work.

I need to install a pusher kit. It sucks my pressure down from 15 at idle to 3-4 WOT. Anybody make a complete kit for a good price?

I understand that the HO doesn't respond as well. I do have a kick, maybe I was just expecting more.

Next are the injectors. Need to put them in now.

Russ -

I didn't see a new clutch in your sig, is that on the horizon? With a Comp and DD Jammers, I think you will be slipping the hell out your clutch. With an EZ and DD1s, I was slipping my stock NV4500 clutch pretty bad. Good luck, when I had my comp with the wire I was all :D :D :D until my VP died.

oh yes, a clutch is in my future. On 5x5 my clutch insn't slipping. I am sure with the jammers in it will be slipping. I take it pretty easy on the truck, but every once in a while I have a little fun with it.

I bet you have a poor connection at the pump cover. The reason I say this is I had the same thing happen to me. When you get it tapped, you'll know it. Its true HO's dont respond as well as the non HO, but there is a BIG difference between EZ mode and 5x5 even on the HO.

Have good connection at teh pump cover..... Also, I put in my Stage 2 Jammers today. whoa, really woke up the truck. Now about that clutch.
