what i was wondering has anyone actually made there own tc lock up switch on a o6? i know that it can be done on 47 re but what about the 48 re? i have ben told know one has ben able to get it not to throw codes but if it can be done what wires do i need to tap and does the reley still work with the brake light? please only 06 or 07 trucks with 48 re respond. thanks

I did my 04. 5 not sure about the 06's on mine I think it is pin # 7 up to a switch and down to a 33 ohm resistor before going to a ground

You have TC lock-up in TH mode right now unless your transmission upgrades eliminated that feature. Are you wanting lock to lock shifts? Since you're specifically asking 06 & 07 owners, I'm going DTT where philosophy is low stall tc's, quick firm un-locked shifts then re-lock. Good performance under many mixed conditions with longevity & reliability. With your listed upgrades, what are your goals and uses?

im looking at it for sled pull and as well as towing my trailer and locking up in second in town to keep temps down. as far as goals to make this blasted truck just run for 10k without being stuck on the side of the road as to date the best i have had is 648 miles till my fass pump started smoken and caused it to melted the filler tube in the tank and clogged up my fillters and ruined my new 200gph pump. (lol what the heck) least i had a spare 150 with me.

If you move the gear shift from D to 2 in Tow/Haul mode, the TC will lock up in 2nd gear. No switch needed.
