Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) TC not unlocking when stopped?

Tonight on my way to a BBQ i came to a redlight and when fully stopped the truck almost shut itself off. I noticed the idle got a little rough and lowered then the motor chugged and i threw it in neutral to keep it running. Almost seemed like the TC was partially still locked? I don't have a lockup switch so im confused on what would cause this. Any ideas?

My 2nd gen did that a few times too and I took it to the dealer to see if I coulg get it taken care of under warranty. don't know if you have the same electronics but a quick dealer reflash did the trick. That was about 8,000 miles ago and no problems.

With mine when I got to a stop it felt like a full blown rodeo.
