TC/VB and Injector Question? Which way to go?

I got the o. k. from the higher ups (the wife) for the trany upgrade. I am going to go with DTT. Now the delima is; Do I go with the DDII'S or III'S. Then do I get 89% or 91% TC. I will haul horses with the truck and use it for a daily driver. Right now there is a VA box,and PS boost mod,jardine4",and BHAF. Need some input. Going to have Fred Swanson do the install. Thanks for your help. The only thing I will add later is a Comp box.

I asked the same questions before I jumped in the DTT ring. I hate slipage. Bill at DTT recommended the 89% TC. However I bought the 91% TC and love it. It doesnt bang when I put it in gear and starts pulling right off idle. I dont notice any lag. Had I been able the test drive one with the 93% TC Im thinkin I would have liked that even more.

91% and the DDII's..... the II's are only 20 hp less than the III's---you'll be extremely happy with this combo---chris

I would strongly recomend that you contact Bill at DTT for his advice. I talked to him and he is VERY aware of the special needs of hauling horses. AND the need for them not to have a rough ride or harsh shifts. (basically the need not to wear your horses out on the trip) He will also point you to a shop that has experience in setting up the transmission for horse hauling.

Greg has got the shop nailed down---yes you should talk to Bill, but the 91% tc doesn't shift hard IMHO---guages are a must--don't remember if you got them---... . chris

Thanks for your advice guys. I talked to Bill and he said that I would be happier with the 89% TC. Not the answer I was looking for but that is why he is Bill K. I will go with the 89%..... He is the man, ya know? DDII's will work fine for what I will be doing. Thanks again, Greg

Good all around combination. Controllable smoke and power enough to throw the beast around. When that horse trailers not hooked up look out.
