Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) TCI Converter Feedback

Has anybody used a TCI? I know DTT and others are better. I just need a replacement to get me by for a few moths til I can to the whole upgrade with one of the big guys.

Back when I had my 95, they were the only ones I could find offering a tighter converter, so I ordered one.

When my trans shop put it in, it imediately ate the front seal.

I call TCI and explained it.

They said send it back prepaid, if they find it to be their issue they will reimburse me.

They found it was not finish machined at the weld and then returned it to me COD. I protested and have not received any compensation to this day.

On top of that I paid a trans shop to install it TWICE.



Be careful!

BTW, I had other issues with them on another converter two years prior.

Just call DTT and talk with them.

Thats what I was affraid of. I am thinking that I will try to nurse mine along and just do the DTT parts. What part of IL are you in??

well today i just got home with my truck, full DTT conversion, it is beatiful, wait and go for the DTT, its better to do it right once then fix it twice...
