Definately a short trip, had to catch up with my battalion that was already over there this time. I am going to Okinawa this december.

Six months, Craig Johnson will be piloting my truck while I am gone, just for the beginning of the season next year.

Ahhh fine place oki. was. What base you going to? Some of the best scuba diving around if thats your thing. The night life wasnt too bad either if you get to know the locals.

I will be on Camp Shields, the Seabee base just off of Kadena air base.

If you like mongolian bbq, there is a great place outside kadenas gate 1 and a few blocks down. We use to do some cliff jumping at the light house behind the driving range. Ahhh good times. Good Luck and have fun.

I am not looking forward to this coming deployment too much, I have already been to Oki and a few places on mainland Japan including Mt Fuji. I hated every minute of it.

Most people over seas are like that unless you are spending money! Think of how the World would be if we weren't the Police.

Hell thats an everyday occurance here in the good ol USA. I feel that way about 1/3 of the people around here. You really get that everywhere you go though. I must have had a better experience, sorry for your misfortune. I was there for 2 years and worked with the locals. They invited us to go out with them, really treated us like part of their family.



I was over there when they raped the girl and let me tell you that there was tension everywhere. Cannot really blame them though, look what we think of arabic people now.
