Can I run a resonator before a muffler????

Ok, I have an interest in the TDI, as I now live 45 Miles+ from work. After looking at the TDI Club site, I have come to gain a (Dim) understanding of these engines and how to "bomb" them. However I have some questions.



A, Were does one tap in an EGT Gage? On my Cummins I just taped the Manifold 1/4" pipe on the aft runner into the Turbo. Is the VW manifold thick (tough) enough to do this? How abouyt the Boost Gage, Just Tee it in to the Wastgate Hose (The red one)?



B, The VP38 Pump, is it tougher than the VP44 pump? I for Ha-ha's I tried to price one and it seems that no one sells them over the Internet. :confused: Does this car need to have a Fuel Pressure gage?



C, Does any one sell a Light to fit the Westach Boost/EGT Gage that's that funky cool Blue/Purple? I am asumming that there is a gage pod to fit a VW.



D, How much extra power can the transmission and Clutch take? I know from a Friend that the DMF Clutch is weak. (He's blown one and is on his way to blowing another { I know that South Bend Clutch has cluthes for the VW, but my buddy doesn't want to change his to that, as he has the factory extended warenttee. ]) Moose
