Seems to be a fair number of Amateur Radio operators on the TDR - how about a check in thread, with a few details, and pics. Here's my current setup:

Hold an Extra Class license - since 1970, and first licensed in 1959 as WA6KDK in Manteca California - also was WB0NUB in Enterprise Kansas for a year.

I run either an Icom 746, as seen in the pic above, or perhaps my IC-706 MKIIG, or Kenwood 570 DG - those into either the Amp Supply LK500-NTC seen, or the Henry 3K Premier, just out of sight in the pic. Also run another IC 706-MKIIG and Ameritron ALS 500, 500 watt solid state amp in the truck:

It's truly a great pastime - some resist calling it a "hobby", due to the many serious as well as purely entertaining aspects it provides.

I've been licensed since 1959, held several calls - WA6KDK, WB0NUB, KJ6Q, and the current K7GLD (GLD are my initials). I've enjoyed my radio interest to the fullest, operate mobile, fixed, and portable when RVing - literally talked around the world - as well as to Astronauts in space.

Sure beats stamp collecting! Oo.

(Apologies to actual stamp collectors!) :-laf
