LanganArcticTrip-2017.jpgLong time photojournalist and Turbo Diesel Register columnist, James Langan, is in the final days of preparing for a Canadian Arctic adventure. He will be departing from Nevada..

First he’s driving to Montana to rendezvous with his F-250-driving buddy, Tony. Over a month this spring they will be traveling all the way to Tuktoyaktuk, or just Tuk, a first-nation village on the Arctic Ocean. Getting there will include driving on the famous Dempster Highway, with the final leg over the frozen McKenzie river ice road and the frozen Arctic Ocean. This is the last year to do this before an all-weather road to Tuk is completed. However, it’s not just the destination that's important but also the getting there.

James will driving his 2014 Ram/Cummins 2500, and camping in his Hallmark Milner camper. Tony will be in his a 2010 F-250 6.4L Ford Power Stroke and Four Wheel Campers popup. Some have taken this wintery trek, few camp, and surely fewer endeavor to keep their campers wet, with all systems functioning.

You can follow James on Instagram @RoadTraveler, and/or his blog at
www.RoadTraveler.net. After he returns we will publish detailed articles about the preparations, and the adventure itself, in the Turbo Diesel Register magazine. It should be an epic trip!
