TDR browsing with cellphone?

Hey there TDR admins:



Any tips on browsing the TDR with a web-enabled cellphone.

I have a Sanyo "Katana" phone with sprint service.



Since I am going on a roadtrip with my family and using the Ram CTD as the vehicle of choice, I thought it would be neat to be able to stay in touch using the cellphone.



I haven't bought a laptop yet. Maybe by next road trip.



Any thoughts?

I have put a skin on the site for PDA's & cell phones that should automatically be chosen when you come to the forums on a cell phone. You should get a very stripped down version of the site with almost no graphics. If you don't get that then let me know and I'll have you run a routine on your phone that will tell me what the browser is reported as and I'll add that to the list. I browse on my cell phone all the time.

Are you staying in a hotel? Im sure you can use there internet thats what i do.

I do it all the time and with the "pda skin" it works great. You do learn to use the little link to the left of the post title to take you to the first unread post. I think I browse this site with either my phone or pda more often than with my laptop. Thank you Steve for the pda option!

Every time I try to log in from my cell hpone I get a message along the lines of "host does not accept" . Is that an issue with the browser?

I would guess so. Sounds to me like the browser on your cell pone won't accept cookies. You need a cookie set on your browser in order to be logged in. See if there's an option in the browser to allow cookies.

Thanks Steve, that helps a whole lot tethering a laptop to a cell phone, pages load in about a 10th of the time.
