Many of you do not know Brad Kirkham(B Kirk) except for when you look at shots of his stunning 94 Standard Cab here in photos. I got to meet Brad and his lovely wife Pat many years ago at one of Gene Mohney's(Sled Puller) local shows at Q,S&L. At any rate as to not bore you Brad is the kind of guy who will give you the shirt off his back to help and his wife always has a smile on her face.

Back when I met them Brad had told me about his wifes struggles with Stage 4 Breast cancer and when you looked at her she never showed one time she was sick. When she was first diagnosed and had her first surgery she was not given long to be with us and years some years later she is still here.

That was then and as life goes this is now...

Earlier this week Brad had to place Pat into the hospital in Ellwood City,PA as she was very sick and her health was failing. It seems that her body which has been fighting the effects of breast cancer for the last few years is slowly giving up on her,yet she still smiles and has never cried a tear about her illness. I talk with Brad many nights about our trucks and life in general and know how bad he is hurting as he can do nothing to help her and feels so helpless. They met each other way back in the late 70's,got married in 81 and have been together ever since. The prognosis does not look good at all for Pat and they could use our support and well wishes.

I will keep an update on here and please keep the Kirkham's in your thoughts and prayers while they struggle with the illness. I have told Brad if there is anything I can do all he needs to do is ask... ... ... Andy

Pat passed away about 9:30 this morning.

She went peacefully, and was not in any pain.

Although this was for the best as she had no hope for recovery, holding her hand and watching her take her last breath was the hardest thing I ever had to do.

I know she is no longer suffering, and that is what gives me strength to go on.

Thank-You to everyone that said a prayer for her.

Brad

My deepest condolences, Brad. You who knew and loved her will be in my prayers. It sounds like she was a tremendous person.

Brad, I'm very sorry for you loss. It must be hard to let go of your partner.

Cancer took my father at age 51 and other loved ones have been stricken also. It's no fun, and it changes your life in so many ways. In the end, it almost always seems a relief that the pain has ended. The pain of loss will ease with time.

Hang in there, and take care.

I was very sad to recieve the call from Brad early this morning while I was headed for a local show. Pat will be missed and not forgotten but at least she is now in a world free from sickness and any pain. I have offered my condolences and told Brad if he needs anything to let me know... ... Andy
