Would it be possible to set up a bank account at TDR headquarters that our members could send money to for a period of 3 monthes and then have the staff cut Redcross a check for the total sent in on behalf of the members? Also then if we could get a page or pages dedicated in the following TDR magazine on who donated for a recognition on their part. I have personally sent out 2500. 00 in donations since the storm, but I don't feel it is enough as many other members do also. If we could get everyone in our group to just send 1 measly dollar it would add up fast. I wish I was well off enough to offer a dollar for dollar match but I know there are many good TDR members that may donate large amounts also and leave me broke. I don't expect that everyone can make a donation but if you can it will be greatly appreciated by those in need. My donation was my stash cash for up and coming twins on my truck but when I think about people drinking sewage water to avoid dehydration and babies wearing dirty diapers just so I can have twins it made my gut turn.

Now can I get a HECK YEA from everyone who would donate to a cause like this on behalf of our membership????????????????

We discussed how we could best help out and put our thoughts in here - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138472 . There's no way the TDR could accept funds and then pass them on in bulk without setting up a non profit charity corporation to take those funds in. We made that thread a sticky at the top of this forum and had an announcement about it at the top of every forum page for a couple weeks to draw people to it. The best way to get the funds to those in need the fastest is to contribute to those charities directly. My family sent in what we could afford. The TDR outlined their efforts in that thread link above.
