Mail-Outlook Express question

If you guys will bear with me I'd like to tell you story... ...

A few months ago a man bought his first diesel truck to tow his new fifth wheel. Didn't know much about diesel, so he went online to search for info. Search engine took him to the TDR. After reading the post for about a week, felt like a ***** so he put his 35$ down.

After asking a few questions that were probably asked a million times before, all he got were kind and patient answers and a bunch of welcome to the club. He was already impressed, but his new found friends gave him a strange desease called "bombaitis".

So he needed manuals to fill the gap in his knowledge. Since his truck was a 98 he figure he'd asked if old ones were lying around.

About a week later manuals show up at his doorstep with a note from somebody he'd never met saying"if these are what you need just send me what you think is fair, if not just send them back to me" The check went out the next day, thanks RVrunner. Then he read about tailgates graphics and TDR logos from a fellow named ICEMAN, sent a check, got the goods before the check was cashed, no questions asked.

Now he needed gauges asked more questions, emailed for quotes and more info. Finally ordered, got a hell of a deal and event got his pillar mount painted for free, thanks Doug and Andy(www.smokindiesel.com). Not to mention this offer "if you run into problem on install, just give me a call, I'll talk you through it".

Then according to a bombing list he needed a new airfilter, big honkin' one looked good, but work schedule and location made it hard to get. Again a TDR member said "I'll pick one up, pay for it out of my own pocket and ship it to you. When you get it look on the box for the shipping, I'll put the ticket in the box just add it up and send me a check, fair enough?" Danandme you rock! he even included a piece of pvc for install purpose, never asking for anything in return other than the actual cost.

I could go on and on about DTT, wich I haven't bought anything from YET but were more than helpfull and kind and countless others.

Sorry for the long post guys but in these trying times I felt like these thing needed to be said. In the few short months that I've been a member I have gotten more respect for this crowd than people I've known for years. I'm proud to be one of you and proud to have a TDR logo on my truck.

Altough I still hate you for all the money YOU're MAKING me spend, but at least you got my wife on board... ... ... ... how you did that I'll never know:D :D :D :D :D

Geez, I missed the wife benefit...

I was looking for a used boost gauge to help out a sort of retired friend of mine having problems with his new to him / used dump truck.

I got a gauge shipped to me from another member, no charge. THANKS AGAIN.

I got advice from people who know his engine (a CAT). THANKS AGAIN.

I agree that we have a real nice place here!

I agree. It seems if you need it and they have it, they will send it to you and you can pay later when you get a little extra $$. Thanks to all that have helped me out.

I have been a member nearly 2 years now and its been great. I have saved a bunch of money on repairs thanks to my TDR family! I have also gained knowledge on the best motor that I have ever seen. But the biggest thing is that I have gained a bunch of friends. I have noticed that it does not matter what is happening in our lives, the members are there for encouragement and support. And also they sometimes cause a fellow to spend his lunch money on stuff. :D

Thanks

Rick

My advice to others
