Greetings,
I recently just moved to Amarillo, and either need help from another TDR member or a good mechanic in the area.
I have a 97 2500 16* Timing, 4" exhaust, ATS Manifold, a South Bend Clutch, and a custom ground Fuel plat (About a 10 or 12, Joe Donnely made it for me). Anyway after the plate was in last year I could get about 25-30 PSI of boost, but just this weekend I went to go get some hay and the truck would only push out about 15 PSI of boost. I don't drive the truck very often so I am not quite sure when this really happened, but I now have to be down in Dallas this weekend and wondering if I can make it or not. The filters, and fluids are clean (I just cleaned them this weekend) so I don't think that is the problem, but the fuel filter was pretty black, and possibly dirty. I have visually inspected the bands and clamps around the turbo and they look okay. I replaced the lift pump about 50-60,000 Miles back so I don't think that is the problem, but I just don't know. I am in somewhat of a hurry and of course work in the middle of the day so I can't mess with it then. I am not the most mechanically sound so really need some help.
Anyone out there to help?
Thanks
Russ
