TDR Travel Companion

I have been somewhat apprehensive about listing pertinent information in the TDR Travel Companion. Undoubtedly, I am not alone.



Can anyone that has helped another TDR member due to being listed share their experience?



Are their any apprehensive people willing to share reasons for apprehension?

P. S. I stop and help stranded people quite frequently. Stopped for a RAM/Cummins person the other day that was pouring in diesel from a five gallon can. His fuel gauge was bad, but he stopped before he ran out and was about three miles from a fuel station.

I am sure if you read the thread about our names being posted when we first changed over to this new servor, it would pretty much cover this topic, too.



Personally, I don't care about privacy issues that much cause if someone wants to find out info on me, the internet makes it way easy. All kinds of info about us is on the net!

Look at the links under the banner of the website (very top one). Click on TDR Member Exclusives. Then you have to enter the current "username and password" which can be found in the Roundetable/Website forum under annoucements. Enter those then choose from chat or travel companion... . on the travel companion its broken down into states and provinces etc for members to list there names and numbers and such. You have to use the password to view the information.

I think it is too new to get a response on this, however, there was a guy in Tennessee recently at a campground, went to a mall that had computers, logged on tdr and got help! It is a neat idea, and only members can see our info.

I'm on the list, and got a phone call from a member in trouble for help on a Friday night. Wasn't able to locate anyone with a gooseneck to get him out of his predicament,though. Posted onto the Forum, and a couple of other members stepped up and got him fixed up that Monday.

I have made several efforts to list my name and location, but the darn thing has rejected me each time--some excuse about my URL being duplicated; I haven't the slightest idea what that means or how to get past it?
