Just got my new TDR mag. with the travel c ompanion included. Very dissapointed that I am not listed. I did submit my info on line some time ago. Also cant believe there arnt more people from Washington listed. I know the guys up here are great and willing to help out in emergencys. Could this just be an oversite on the part of the TDR adm?:confused:

I'm in!!!

I was a little late but I sent in my info when I received the Travel companion entry form with the new TDR mag. Maybe our snail mail is a little on the slow side?:confused:

I would expect to see a bunch more guys in the next edition. :D :D

David,

maybe a thread can be started where everyone who did not make it can post the same info and then can be printed out at home and the pages stapled in the travel companion book. It might even be a separate section made up by admin specifically for this where you can periodically check for updates and print them out.

You can get the current information right from the travel companion itself. The reason you weren't in the printing is probably because you didn't get in before the deadline. There is approximately a 3 month lead time for printing. The info for the current issue and the travel companion went to the printer the end of august. If you go to the travel companion (through the member exclusives link at the top) you can then either list all and print it out or search for the areas that you will be traveling in and print out only those. Alternatively if you are on the road and have a problem and get get to a computer with internet access (public library, coffee shop, etc) then you can log on to the TDR site and look it up right there.

P. S. I just spoke with Robin and she's going to put together updated booklets in a PDF format (Adobe Acrobat reader) on a quarterly basis that you will be able to download from the member exclusives area and print out as well.

When I submitted my data <b>Online</b> Robin emailed me back and asked me to mail in the information as <b>Online Registration</b> would not be included in the publication.

Since the TDR is <b>Online</b> I thought is was weird to have to snail mail the information in since I just submitted it <b>Online</b>

Oh well :(

I never did mail it in though

That's strange Bob because that was the whole point of the online info and I know for a fact that the online data was included in the booklet. The old travel companion software was not included and maybe that's what she was talking about. The new software was installed specifically for inclusion in the book and as a matter of fact all the data that was mailed in has been entered in the online one as well.

I submited the info twice. Onc e when it first came out. Snailmailed it from the form in the TDR mag. and again online when it came out again. There was a time when there were more people from Ore. & Wa. (also known as Northwest Bombers ) that had enrolled in this program than any other part of the US. I am not upset with the TDR but am upset that if anyone traveling though our area and has trouble will not let me or others in my area be of help. To all TDR members . If you are with in 100 miles of Olympia Wa. and need help and /or stranded, please call me at (360) 352-0130 I have the following. Large shop & garage with Acetaline welder, air compressor with air tools-most hand tools including metrics. Can provide rv. parking with electric and water with cable TV. hook up. Sorry no sewer dump. Am also able to provide a vehicle to use while you are broke down. Have a double axel car hauler trl. to pick up your veh. I may not be listed in the travel companion but please print this out and attatch it to your travel companion in case you get into my area and need help.

David, I just looked in the database and your entry is in there on October 16th which is well past the date that the travel companion was sent to print. Your information is there in the online travel companion and will be included in the updates that will be put online. We had asked that everyone that had their information in the old travel companion add it to the new one. We also left the old travel companion up for several months after the new software was up for people to be aware of the change and have the opportunity to move it. The old travel companion had no format and no consistency on the information. There was no good way to move the information from the old one to the new one ourselves because we had no way of filling in the rest of the form.

Motorhead - there is a listing of the codes and their meaning in the front of the book:

C = compressed air

W = welding

BT = basic shop tools

FT = full shop tools

P = parts

Sorry Steve.

Maybe I was out of town when this happened. I truly thought that I was in the travel companion. Next time maybe I will get in there. In the mean time my offer is still good. Just copy my previous pst and staple it to you travel companion. (Just in case you get to the northwest)

I filled it out ages ago?

I guess it was to far back, so I will do it again.

Got to admit I was a little shocked not to see my info in there:(

I just registered and noticed Steve has himself down as a 3:eek:

I would have thought more like a 5... ... . LOL
