Teach old dog new tricks?

I've tried searching the old threads but can't find exactly what I need. Will a set of 04. 5 2500 front coils springs easily replace a set of 01 1500 coil springs? Are they still the same diameter? I made a custom bumper for the front of my 01 and now it bottoms out pretty easily, of course! I am installing a new lift on my 04. 5 2500 with new coils and all, and wondered if I could swap the old 04. 5's into the 01? I think I can from what I could find out, but unsure of the amount of lift, if any, but hopefully a couple inches, so I can get the right shocks and not lose my springs or tear out the shocks if to short. Help me out here.

you need to visit www.pavementsucks.com they can tell you i know the 2nd gen body style springs worked and gave almost 2" lift to the front of 1/2tons.
