I am looking for a source of good tech info. I bought a Chiltons for the Ram, but it is an insult to deisel owners. barely covers more than the injector pump. I need something that goes into detail. trouble shooting, theory etc. . I dont have any previouse diesel experience but I am a mechanic, so it dosn't have to be diesel for dummies. Also could any one tell me were the return fuel valve and the lift pump are, and how to test them?

JMcCarthy: Keep an eye on the ad section of this site. Quite frequently, there are factory service manuals for sale. This is how I got mine. They are definitely worth the bucks. They are BIG!! Good luck.

Can a guy get them from Cummins instead of dc.

Yeah you could get them direct from the Cummins Powerstore, problem is the the books from Cummins cover strictly the engine. They are cheaper than the DC books but don't cover everything on a whole vehicle. I have the DC book, as I am trying to learn more about my truck (mechanically challenged... ) I am howvever considering getting both. Figure it can't hurt any !
