technical service bulletins in issure 54

i read though some of the bulletins in issue 54 for instance i have scratched aftermarket window film, they said that some of the 03 might have not had the softeners on the weather strip. Now do i take it to my local dealer and they will fix it?? Are these bulletins recalls that DC fixes??

they are not recalls. they are there only to help the tech fix a problem. For instance, if someone in the far north east has a problem with a truck and the tech fixes it and there are a few more that come in with the same problem, the tech can call it in to DC and DC will issue a bulletin for other techs in throughout the contry to see and be able to fix if the issue arises. If it were a recall you will get an official notice from DC stating there is a recall on your rig and also give a recall # ie. F22.

so i have to go about fixing the problems myself in other words. So would i go to my local dealer and say i need the weather stripping for my doors that have the protector on them? And then have to pay an arm and a leg for it and replace my tint??

I had mine replaced while it was still with in the three years bumper to bumper. I gave them the tsb# and no questions asked. I told a friend and he had the same results.
