Tee into air compressor 2014 RAM 3500

I have a 2014 RAM 3500 with Firestone airbags system installed by Dave Smith . Can I tee into the air line to use air for tire inflation and other purposes?

If you added an air tank to the system it would work,but the size of the compressor would make it slow.

I guess I will get a small portable compressor then. Anyone have one to recommend, nice and heavy duty, 12V power, for camping and RV.

We sold and installed PacBrake and their products for years.. I can tell you that the small air compressor used by Firestone, PacBrake, etc are nice for the kids tires... your air bags, exhaust brakes but don't have the duty cycle for a vehicle tire... they are designed to run at a 15% duty cycle.... it would just overheat and die.... I picked up a simple larger capacity compressor for under $50... actually I've never used it.. but it would pump up a truck tire... Hope this helps..

PacBrake does sell a 100% duty cycle small compressor. If I ever had the need again that is what I would buy. They are much more $$$.

Do a search on Amazon.com or others for a Viair compressor. Very well built and reasonable. Wally world handles one or two of their compressors, around sixty dollars I think. bg
