Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Teflon tape to seal fuel pressure gauge hose?

Is it necessary or recommended to use teflon tape or pipe sealant on the connections for the shrader valve fuel pressure gauge hose (LAHF2)? Thanks.

Nope. If you look into the fitting on the hose, you'll see a little rubber/plastic gasket that will seal to the schrader valve on the pump. And that's also why you don't want to crank down on the fitting, since doing so will squish that gasket out from where it needs to be. Just snug it down (with maybe a touch of blue Loctite on the threads).
