I have an Envoy. No complaints. I think one or two don't have the manual slider on the front or have a squeeze pad for manual brake application. Mine has the manual slider on the front where you can get to it. I had a Tekonsha on my last truck that had a # led to indicate power to the brakes and a little horizontal spot on the brake unit you had to squeeze between thumb & forfinger to manually apply the brakes. The one time I needed to apply the trailer brakes to straighten the car hauler out after hitting a icy patch I squeezed all over that box with out getting the right spot, darn near lost the whole rig. Now I make sure they have the slider resistor on the front.
make sure what ever you by will control enough braking axels, I went for the most axels, I think 4, that way it will have adequate amperage for a full lock up on the 2 axels I have and some reserve
