Stable Lift system for slide ins

Bought first 5'er

My truck came with a Tekonsha Mark 24 brake controller. I'll be towing a 24 foot travel trailer down to the Smoky Mountains in November. My question is... are any of you guys familiar with this controller? I know it's an older one, but how does it compare to the new Tekonshas out there? Are the new ones a lot better? And is it worth buying a new one for the advantages of the newer one?

Thanks a lot.

Prodigy vs Jordan

Read the thread Prodigy vs Jordan in this forum. I would highly advise to invest in one or the other. You will not believe the difference. Which one is up to you.

Thanks Hoss,

I've been researching them and I'm going to order a Jordan. I'm convinced my old unit is totally outmoded.

Jordan

There are a lot of good deals on the Jordan out there if you look for them. You can almost always find someone working a bulk purchase deal with them. I personally went with the Tekonsha Prodigy but as I said before it is a personal preference type of thing. Glad to be of help.

Well I yanked that Mark 24 out Thursday night and put in my new Jordan. The Mark 24 sure looks ancient! - I wonder how old that thing is? It's close to a foot long overall, with a big heat sink on the back.

The Jordan went in good, but I think they could have included 3 wire crimp connectors and offered the option of the required 20 amp breaker. This would have save me an hour of running around for parts. Otherwise, it was not a bad install in the Ram.
