Hey all,
Well, I finally converted my roommate (over from the Furd darkside) and last night he bought a used '03 CTD w/ 28k miles on it. He drove it for two days and loved every minute of it, so he decided he had to have it. Now to my question:
How does he tell whether he has a HO with 48RE or the standard 250 HP with the 47RE? I'm 1500 miles away, and haven't a clue on what the differences are on the '03's... I'm a 2nd gen guy and just don't know what to tell him. NO, the dealer he bought from was no help... it WAS a Chrysler dealer, but they didn't sell Dodge and had no clue about this truck... even told him it had a fully independent, wishbone front suspension
Anyway, I have the VIN # if that will help. I'd just like to know.
He got what I believe is a fair deal, and a good warranty upgrade too (100,000 bumper to bumper). He's happy as can be with his new purchase, and next year I'm sure the neighbors will get tired of the Cummins guys rolling into the apartments.
Thanks all,
Josh
