Well my transmission line from the 94-95 Rams came in. One with the built in port for a sensor. Swap was easy. Ran it. No leaks.

Pulled out the plug and installed the temp sensor. Needed one of the apadters that came in the kit. Treaded the sensor into the adapter, hooked it up, and tested it out.

It leaks. it leaks between the adapter and the sensor. The adapter to line does not appear to leak. Removed the setup and reinstalle the original plug. No leaks.

So how do I install this baby so it does not leak. I had heard not to use teflon tape as it prevents a good ground contact for the sensor. Suggestions?

I ran into a adaptor(bushing) that came with a oil pressure tubing kit that didn't have the right threads cut into the 1/8"part,cheap Chinese junk.
This probably isn't your problem, but take a look. What I use for fittings that need to be grounded or get hot is a anti-seize that contains metal, most have fine ground copper, aluminum or lead, and conduct power just fine.

Ryan, what is meant by "sensor safe" is that the RTV fumes won't mess with the smog control sensors on a gasser. I've known many folks, myself included, who have used the wrong type of gasket gunk and had fumes from it trick the sensors into false readings, causes the engine to run like crap. A very tuff problem to diagnose if you don't know about it,sometimes it's best to follow the manufactures recommendation for gasket sealer to avoid problems. Luckily our diesels don't have any "sniffing"type sensors,we can get away with using our favorite sealer. The blue RTV will seal and maybe not interfere with the ground, but the surface must be clean for it to stick, something that may be hard to do on the transmission line without losing a lot of fluid. Anti-seize is best.

illflem,

Thanks for the tip, and the one on boost tube routing. Both work ( or will work when it does not leak ) fine. Still have not got the balls or tools to tap that manifold yet.

Have fun,

Still leaks. Not near as bad though. Messed with it a lot today. Gonna call and see if I can get a new sensor and try again with another one.

Those guys at Diesel Injection Service in Texas, really are good bunch of folks. Called and told them my story. Another sender kit is on the way. No problem!

Ordered from them many times. And will continue to do so.
