Have you checked rockauto.com?
Is it part# tx43 or a variation?
I don't know your year of Ram esp. 12valves.
Good luck,
Chuck

Chuck,

I sent the good people at rock auto an e-mail. Oo.

How ever , I was in need of the plug from the wiring harness not the sending unit that goes into the head , part # tx43. ;)

Its in the right church but the wrong pew. :p

I'll let you know,

Thank You,

Wayne

1. Don't use a plug, direct solder it on.

2. Change the wiring harness plug to a choice of your choosing and then put that end on the harness and then put the sending unit end on. ie change plugs to what you want or can get.

Chuck,

OOPs----

Rock said they don't carry it-----Oh well------

Thank You,

I've got a buddy here in Reno that has three 1st gen 12v carcasses in his side yard. I've got a msg on his answering machine for two days now but he must be out of town. Would a part from that series truck work?
Hope to hear from him by tonite.
I'm not much help with 12v...

I just fixed a connector on a 94. The stock plastic connector did not stay in to the sender, so I found a red crimp-on female blade connector that fit. It was smaller in width (almost 1/2 as wide) as the normal crimp connector. Try an auto parts store or Radio Shack. Test fit the connector before cutting the original. Good luck.

Guys,

I appreciate the suggestions very much.

Its a shame that a simple part would be so hard to get-------

Missouri Mule,

I visited 4 junk yards so far#@$%!

rweis,

1] Its a little hard to solder in the area that is located.

2] I did just as you suggested, I pulled the metal plug out the back of the plastic plug. I plugged it directly into the temp. sending unit male end. It fit snug, but I put that 200 MPH racer tape on it.

rotohead,

I think the 1st gen should have the same end.

If by some chance you can talk to the guy, ask him if its available.

If he said yes, please ask him how much he would need for it.

Also , I lost a bolt for the head that holds down the engine pulling bracket. You need to remove it for easy access to the plug.

If by some crazy chance I could get both I would pay him for his trouble.

Thanks,

MistaMike,

Good idea Mike.

I did a similar fix as you can see above.

Many Thanks guys,

Wayne
