I did a search and didn't find anything like this so here goes. I noticed the other day, now that it is getting warmer here in So Cal, that sometimes the temp gauge climbs all the way up to the 190* mark for a bit and then drops back down to what up until now has been its normal operating temp. Is this normal an is 190* too hot? Is this because the air temp is warmer (summertime) or is this the begining of a problem? Thanks. :)

Sorry for the newbie questions is just that I'm still learning about the diesels so everytime it starts to do something different I get a little worried.

The raditor is supposely the same as for the V10 which is rated over 400Hp. So, you can load it up and still have some margin on cooling.

I pulled the grade coming out of Sacramento in Hwy50 in 100o+ heat with the air on and cruze on in top gear. I got to almost 195o. The fan was sounding pretty load but that was it. Boy does it run better at that temp.
