temp sensor location on the 6 speed

Where is the best place to locate the temp sensor on the 6speed in the 04? where will the temps get hot the fastest?Thanks

Since they don't really pump oil per se... one location isn't better than another as long as the sending unit is submerged in oil.



I have mine mounted in the PTO cover... drill and tap the cover or drill it and braze a 1/8" or 1/4 " NPT pipe collar to it... that way, there's no "modification" to the trans itself.
