Well it is always something I guess. My '05 shows very little on the temperature gage, maybe getting to 160 at best and taking its own good time to do it. My question is; is it the sending unit or the thermostat? In my mind the thermostat is cheaper to change but the sending unit is way easier. What do you all say.

Thanks

If it comes up slow it is most likely the thermostat, but then they hardly ever fail. Where do you live and how cool outside?

Try covering the intercooler with cardboard and see if the temp comes up faster, if so thermostat.

I live in Ohio, it is currently about 28 outside. I drove for two hours straight and it never got past 160. I think it is the thermostat too

With my 03, for several years now the thermostat works great in summer but slow or sometime never gets up to operating temp in winter. I use the cardboard over the intercooler method and works great. Wouldn't be so fast to replace the thermostat. Temps around here have been running from an occasional 10 to 40 degrees in daytime. I would like to have a winter front but don't like the look or the price.
