Can any members chime in with temperature reductions with/after installing Mag-Hytec pan. I understand they come ready for 1/8" probe installation? Do you feel the pan was/is a good value? Thanks,Mark. ;)

I can't comment on a Mag-Hytec but had a cast deep pan on a Ford and sure enough it ran a lot cooler, probably 20 degrees. So the deep pans work.

I just installed the Mag-Hytec on my new transmission, I haven't really towed anything very heavy, but the temp is down about 10 or 15 degrees lower then the stock pan and it looks kinda cool on my purple transmission. -John

i have the mag hytec...

u can tell by my sig that i plow snow. anyways, on the hottest run, i never went over 180 f. my old truck, stock pan usually hovered around 200 210 f. worth the dough.

Mag-Hytec

I plan on installing one with the first fluid and filter change. On my 1996 I went from petro to synthetic and saw a 30 to 50 degree drop, pulling my 33' 5th whl. I would run 140 degrees in the pan. I know that our trucks are now running synthetic, this will help with the heat, but I like the cooling fins and the extra fluid with the DD pan so I will probably opt for it. I also used the "A" fluids and believe in them. I am going to use one of the test ports until the F/F change. I believe that you measure your Transmission temperature in the pan, so I plan to add the Maghytec pan with the ports for the temp. probe and a drain plug.
