Nice towing experience

Forgot sliding hitch was in the rear postion

When we moved from Maine to Az. I noticed everyone bundled up starting in Feb.. I told the wife this is crazy as it is not cold, I had a T-shirt and jeans on. Of course in Maine anything zero or above was T-shirt weather. I worked construction in Az. and after the first Summer I was one of the crazies all bundled up. Amazing how the body adapts.

Dave,

I do remember on thing very distinctly: IMHO, it's easier to adapt to the cold coming from the hot than adapting to the hot coming from the cold. I was stationed at Keesler AFB MS, spent a year in Iceland, and got stationed at Pope AFB, NC. I spent lots of time outdoors in Iceland and adapted very quickly. Not so much PCSing to Pope. Took me months to adapt. All fun though!

Friends,

Got it to work, but having problems with the MiFi router timing out. Also, the Govee has really poor instructions and written in poor English. There is one icon no even mentioned. I used the "rapid" service assistance Thursday evening and still haven't heard from them.

I'm on the edge of getting a refund and finding something better supported.

Friends,

I've finally given up on this Govee device. Instructions are incomplete and are Chin-glish. There is no list and explanation of the alerts the device sends and nothing describing the operation and functionality of the device or the app. I think the device may be good, but lack of good documentation make this a no-go.

On Amazon there is a Car/RV Pet temp alert from Verizon, but it requires a monthly cellular subscription AND costs $149. I really want to find something that works with the MiFi as that is what I use with my laptop when we travel.

I'll research some more and report results.

Cheers, Ron

Fellow Pet Lovers,

Didn't take me long to find one that is HIGHEST RATED and made in America. We've RV'd with our dogs for over 10 years now and I see this as being a have to for us and our 4-legged kids.

Here is what I ordered:

I'll let you know when I get it and test it.

Does this device need Wifi to operate? Seems like a stupid question, but you would need a phone or iPad connected to the device in the RV in order for it to recieve and send signal. So that would require anther cell phone subscription, like an iPad that has cellular capability. Also some areas have no, or weak reception to cell signals, which would require a satellite capable phone, seems expensive to maintain and operate that device to me.

You can connect to a Smart Phone with cellular data plan configured as a router, RV Park WiFi hotspot, or as in my case, a Verizon Jetpack MiFi Cellular Router.
You can connect up to 10 devices, it has its own cell phone. The MiFi Jetpack has been my mobile Internet connection solution for years. I check email, keep up with the TDR, and order stuff on-line while on the road. Its rechargeable just like a cell phone. I highly recommend it. Here is a link:

I keep this older one because it has primary 4G service, but will automatically switch to 3G service, which many rural areas still have. A lot of new ones won't, so if 4G service not available but 3G is, the news won't/can't adjust down.

Happy to explain more as we move along.
