I spotted a new C&C on a dealers lot over the weekend, so I looked it over and took a test drive. It is a SLT , 6. 7 w/ 4:10 axle & 6spd. manual. It is a very nice unit. I have read some members have shift problems with the 6spd. , but I thought it shifted very smooth. Mine has been on order for 8 weeks. This dealer said it took 12 weeks for there's to come in. The wait is killing me, but will be worth it .

I'm going to order a new work truck soon, keeping my '05 for personal use though. I'm looking at a C&C Dodge w/ Hemi or 6. 7 Cummins, might weight for the new Tundra, this truck look very promising and I really liked the new GM 1/2 tons (work) truck but hated the seating position. Anyway what does the 6. 7 sound like compared to the 5. 9? does it feel any more powerful, smoother or quieter... ... . I'm dying to know? I've seen a few C&C on lot's but don't want to deal with all the salesman BS.

I thought the 6. 7 was a little quieter in the cab than my '05 is. Being a C&C with no weight on it , it is very easy to spin the tires . My '99 C&C weighs 9400 with my body and tools, so until the new truck comes in and I get the body switched over I have have nothing to compare the 6. 7 too.
