I drove an automatic and a six speed. Both were brand new. The automatic was disappointing, it had no low end power and when the salesman started it it sounded and acted like my truck does when it has sat outside all night in 0 degrees when its not plugged in.
The six speed was just plain pathetic. It started all right (after the glowplugs warmed
) but I stalled the thing twice because I couldn't get it into 2nd gear to start out, I was accidentally putting it into fourth. Then once it was in 2nd I had to feather the throttle and slip the clutch to get it to pull out without stalling. I had one steep hill to pull out on and didn't even try it in 2nd but went straight to 1st, and it still stalled. The only way it would pull out was to rev it and then dump the clutch.
This is the first time I have driven the new 6. 0 and I am shocked at how bad it runs. Below 2000 rpm's it is sluggish, but below 1500 rpm's power is non-existent.
Just my experience.
