Thank you very much for replying . glad to see that what I had to guess at was right . Now I have a lot of questions of all the abbreviations that are on these pages, such as : eth and a whole lot of others any help will help. I am very new to this , but will get with it very quickly. 2500 4x4 six speed extnd cab lng bd 3:54-rear 3:55 front

I second Bob's comments. Welcome aboard and drop over the hill at the next NW BOMBers get-together! We have a great time, and actually do a lot of work on our rigs at the same time. Watch the local events forum... we post all of the events there.

Kyllo,
Welcome to the board. Just noticed your signature for your rig was typed out. If you look at the top of the page right under "POST TOPIC" button you will see a little blue button "Profile" click that one and fill out the page for your profile and then in the box for signature put down what you want to say about your rig. Then when posting a topic you will see two boxes below this box, click the "Show Signature" box and your signature that you have in your profile will automatic show up. Anytime you want to revise anything just click on the "Profile" button and update it.
Recommend you just use it when posting a New Topic. No need to show it everytime you reply to a topic.
Good Luck and have fun #ad

Welcome Kyllo,

I'll answer part of your question, as to what some of the abreviations mean, such as "eth"... If you look at a lot of our signatures, we post various info about our trucks, including model, year, options, and whatever modifications we may have done, or are planning.

ETH: the Dodge code for the new HO (High Output) 24 valve 5. 9L Cummins engine
ETC: the "regular" version of the 24 valve 5. 9L Cummins engine
DEE: the new 6 speed manual transmission
BOMB: stands for Better Off Modified, Baby
EGT: stands for Exhaust Gas Temperature. Often folks will post they have or are looking for an EGT gauge, which can also be refered to as a pyrometer, as it measures the temperature of your exhaust gases and lets you know how close you are to melting a piston #ad

Hope you enjoy your truck as much as the rest of us enjoy our Rams #ad
