DSL, actually the car can be traced back to the '60s and it was called "Mindbender". It origionally had a glass tilt front end, blown small block, etc. I have a Hot Rod Magazine that has a picture of it in it. The car is now all metal (hence my name for it is Full Metal Jacket). The body is channeled 3" over a Outlaw Pro Street Frame, pro 4 link, IFS, and 9" rearend. I built a stroker motor 383 c. i. , Callies crank, Aries blower pistons, h-beam rods, 6-71 Littlefield blower, dual 750's, custom headers, 7:1 static compression and run the blower 10 under for the street. The color is Mercedes Brilliant Silver. The car is a little over 5years old. Don't know if Doug Cook ever got to see it, but "Big John" Mazmanian likes it. I see him at a couple of shows every year and even got to give him a ride. He signed one of my hats with my logo on it, priceless. The car is in for repairs, as you can see by attached photo ( I hope the Admin doesn't kill me for it now that I know how to attach). This is what happens when a mother works the gas while a 12 year old drives and throws it into reverse and plowes into you. I've got all the parts and am about a month or so from having it back on road. Can't wait as it a fun ride. Thanks for the interest.
