Competition 1/4 mile times

Competition are 6.0 Powerstrokes supposed to be quick?

Listened to it 10 times I think it is a JET engine!!! Don't be fooled it ain't no diesel... lol I am going to take a guess that it has... ... ..... enough HP.

Yeah, I'd like ol Don to hear that also. He's been giving me grief on another website. Doesn't think it's possible to obtain that kind of horsepower. Maby he's jus sore because he cant? LOL

To anybody that has never seen that truck pull (in real life), if you did, you would never again argue about how much horsepower is or isn't being made by a 5. 9 on the east coast. When you see this truck pull, you forget all about papers and numbers.

The average stock car is 350 (or so) cubic inches? They make about 700-800 hp and last for at least 500 miles. How could someone argue that it would be impossible to make a 5. 9 produce over 1000hp to last 300 feet? I'll tell you how, its called ignorance.

This isn't directed at any one person or any one group, except the non- believers. This is just my opinion, so dont get excited.

I'm not going to argue the pont but there is a torque/rpm ralationship to take into account in this analogy. :)

Listening to that clip more, i love the point at the end where you can hear the fuel turn off, and the turbos still wanting to to go for 1 to 1. 5 seconds after shutdown!!!

I made that statement for comparative reasons.

I seen him pull for the first time in georgia last year if it had wings it would have taken off cant wait to see him in muncie.

"diesel viagra"

I like the wastegate chatter at the end... They've made some changes since TiM '02 when I saw that truck first run... it made much different sounds at the end of the track then...

Sounds exactly like a pulling tractor... . then again, any I6 diesel running at 5000+rpm under that much boost will sound sorta like that. :-laf
