I have never beleaved my Isspro EGT gauge since the day I got it.
When outside temp is 70, and the truck is stone cold it reads just over 0.
At idle hot, it reads 200. Never stays above 300 at a light for more then 15 sec.

So I decided to test it. My Friend got me these things called Temple Sticks. You rub them on the end of the probe and they change colors at a pre set temp. we pulled the probe, market it and heated the end that goes in the manafold with propane Below is the results. We did several tests with each temp temple stick.

Stick Temp Gauge Temp
300 200
1100 1000
1200 1100

Now they say they calabrate the gauge at 1200, and 1100 is within 10%. Only problem is when you are towing and see 1400 is it really 1400 or is it 1500?

Anyway, Guess I will call Isspro on monday.
This is my orginal thermo coupler but my 2nd gauge (the last one would not read below 150 cold)

By what you posted it looks like your gauge is only right at about 1150,above that it reads low, below 1150 reads high. Your critical temps are within the 10% allowed so the gauge is not bad. I'd say back off at 1300.

Boy I sure hope you are not right about your results as I have Isspro gauges in my truck and towing over the Esinhower and Vail Pass in Colorado with my Jeep in tow (6000lbs) my gauge read 1150 degress pre-turbo the whole time which was continuous for about 20-30 minutes. According to your results my actual temps was 1250 and I thought that is only for short time usage, oh well.

according to the cut sheet with my ISSPRO pyro and probe they are +/- 2% @ 1200*
That is for a R650 thermocouple and R607 pyromiter

This just in from ISSPRO.

when testing your EGT sender you should see the following voltage (recomend a good meter).

600 deg 11. 15mV (thats millivolts)
900 deg 17. 30mV
1200 deg 23. 45mV

If your "cold" temp is wrong, make sure truck is stone cold (off around 12 hours) you can remove the gauge, (leave it wired) open a red plug in the back and look for a screw to adjust the "ambient temp" to read correct on meter. This adjustment will affect the complete range.

NOTE: they warned me to watch out for the spring inside the hole where you adjust it, it bends easy, and will screw up the complete gauge!!!!
