Now that sounds like a good weekend! Do you show the truck Andy?
Torque This...
Now thats one thing I will always do as long as my arm is up to detailing,LOL. When I went up North this year for that show it was the same weekend as the Nascar race at Pocono. It rained bad for about the first 250 miles of the trip up until I stopped just south of Binghamton,NY for fuel. I figured the show would be washed out but, since I seen sunshine breaking out of the dismal clouds I pushed on. It had rained the night before up there(saturday nite) and had pushed out early and had actually dried out nicely. I got put into their modified class due to having to many things done to the truck and ended up showing with one other fullsize ride,a Dark Green V10 truck lifted to the sky owned by a kid who worked at the Dodge dealership in Syracuse and a raft full of lifted Dakota's some of which I figured I'd need a trampoline to get into,LOL.
Thier club president stopped by and informed me he was sorry for putting me into the class, told him no biggie and laughed. He also told me I was the very first modified diesel they ever had at one of their shows and would like me to try and have more come in next year. At any rate, I didn't win in my class as I got out bling, blinged and out lifted but won the long distance award and recieved a very nice pewter engraved platter from them. It was a very well run show, complete with a couple hundred cars and trucks a great DIRT Modified show afterwards. It made my weekend trip well worth it and I will go back.
I venture out to alot of these smaller Mopar shows in the area and find alot of cars which do not go to the Nationals or Carlisle. Its neat to see what slips in for you to gawk over and up there was no different. The one which made my trip up there was a original uncut, untubbed 65 Dodge Coronet RO23 factory superstocker, complete with aluminum front end and numbers matching Hemi. The old guy who DROVE it in was from Up near Jay,Ny and told me he had owned it since new in late 1964. Ah well, nice show, nice area and I am going back,LOL.

Do Not undersell the idea of a small gathering as you woulod be surprised who or how many will show up. Maybe just plan a wrench session and a BBQ somehwere you can fit a truck or 2 to work on and see how many will show up. A camping deal along the lake is ok and may work also as some members do have them. If you plan the activities correctly that you have a campground with cabins(for those of us who do not own one) or near a motel and do a cookout that weekend along with some sightseeing it5 should draw a crowd. Just make sure you plan it after scouring the boards and do it on a "off" show weekend... ... ..... Andy
