[Texas Diesel]

I just bought 5 gallons of 1874 MTX fluid for $55 incl tax. Can get more and bring to the Texas Ramboree if needed.

Is that the synthetic gear lube for the 6 speed that I need for my Gear Vendors O/D ???

MTX is the factory spec fluid for the NV-5600 6 speed. I had to call a Texaco corp rep to get him to find a dealer who was WILLING to special order such a small amount.
The dealer is in Killeen, TX. Any Texaco distributor should be able to get it, mine had to order it in from OK. If you cant get it I can pick some up for you and bring to to LA in July. I will be travelling through LA on I-10.

Tell us more, if you can. I was told by my Texaco distributor here that it was "no longer sold" in 5 gallon pails. He seemed to have done his homework; didn't have a listing in his book, called back later to say he could order, then called back again to say apparently the rules had changed. I was about to give up and buy from the dealer. Will your distributor ship?

It was right around $50. 00 for 5 gallons.
I just called them, and they said the MTX is shippable,don't know what that would add to the cost, so if anyone wants to order, give them a call, and ask for either Jim or Peter.
