Last week we were in Shreveport LA staying at Barksdale AFB on alert! Once we landed and put the plane put to bed we all ran over to the Exchange to get some food and ran into this little Texas Gal singing there! Any of you ever seen her at a show? Here is her site.

It was nice to go down there and make some Perdium for a change.



I drove around base housing in the alert car in search for a wireless, bet there are folks that wondered what I was doing in front if there house.

Long time ago, I won the Munitions Maintenance Technician of the AIR FORCE, part of my reward was a little vacation to the Pentagon and to Barksdale AFB to bartend for the flight crews at a Bomb/Nav competition. All the alert crews from all over the country were there.



What was cool, each team brought with them different things to give away from there state/area. Beer. liquor, knick knacks from each state free for the taking. Course that was back during the days of the SAC. We had a blast with everyone there. A whole week of it. Used to be stationed at Carswell in Ft. Worth.



Now I feel old talking about this. :-laf
