Texas Rally 2004 DYNO headcount thread

More information on Buckhorn Lake

The rally rate for sites at Buckhorn is $23/night.

For those interested, Buckhorn Lake is planning on providing lunch and dinner for us on Saturday. Lunch will be $6. 00 each for burgers & fries and dinner will be $8. 50 each menu to be determined.

Dinner will also be available on Friday night but I'm not sure about the price or the menu.

More details to come...

See you there:)

We'll be there.

Got my campsite reserved today. Thanks for putting it on, if ya'll need me to do anything let me know. I also need a vendor space.

Update: I talked to Peter at Southbend Clutch and he has given me a firm maybe (LOL) as to coming to the rally. I sure hope he comes so we can get him to do his Piers imitation and maybe get Piers to do a Peter imitation.

The only problem with getting both of them at the same time is we might not get invited back to Buckhorn :-laf

Chace: Glad to have ya.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lance Poole for his help as well.

More updates to come.

Michael & Pam & Curtis

If Peter comes I think I will make the trip for sure. Might have to live it up again at the Y-O Ranch again! #ad

Those 2 together would make it a h-e-l-l of a time eh? :D

kerrville 2004

:{ Sorry to say I will not make this one. First miss!!!Our annual Texas Travelers rally is the same week-end. Business meeting/election of officers, goofing off, eating, telling lies about our trucks, eating, goofing off,telling lies about our trucks--not always in that order. :D: :{

wow i might actually get to go to my first rally and actually meet the people i only read about. guess i better start saving my pennies and ask for more hours

What do you mean "I gotta leave my hammer at home" how can i tune your pump without a hammer???

As for doing a Peter imitation... . I don't think I can drink that much :--)

We're going to fly into Houston and drive to the Buckhorn, does anybody know of a good place to rent a motorhome?

Yeah, a dyno. Would that be a bad thing???

BK

Might need to get MDW or Curtis to check with the folks at buckhorn, or find a place real close by... but a dyno would be a lot of fun, I'm thinkin'... . ;)

Hey Piers

A motorhome? Cool, I wanna see the burnout though. Glad you folks are going to make it out here again, be great seeing you again.

John

I really want to come and I acually might get to make it to my first rally too. I've always wanted to meet the Elvis's of the CTD world! Is it for everyone to come? I don't have a RV, but would love to come. I'm looking foward to seeing all of yall!

Eric

Yes it's for everyone on and off the TDR, you don't have to be a member to come. It is really just a campout for people who have a love for their diesel truck!!

There are several hotels near-by in Kerrville on the main drag. :)

Absolutely, everyone is invited. You don't need a camper, I don't have one myself. There is plenty of parking near the barn so space isn't a problem.

See ya there.

Could the folks organizing this please look into whether or not we can do the dyno thing? I'd hate to drag it out there and never even get to put it on the ground. :(

At this point, I'm planning on making the trip. Is this going to be primarily a social event, or will there be a lot of techincal discussion as well???

With Piers being there, it will definately be a technical event. Social events end up being later where we usually violate someones oil pan with a hammer, right John? ;)

As far as the dyno goes, we are talking to the campsite to determine whether or not we can do a on-site dyno session. I'll get with you as soon as we have an answer.

Thanks,

Curtis
