My wife wants to get a shopping trip together on Saturday during the Rally. She went by herself last year and several other ladies mentioned that they would like to go. So we need to know how many would like to go, who can drive, etc. If she can get a headcount, she will make reservations at the Peachtree Tea Room.

She is planning to leave about 10 AM Saturday, have lunch and shop in Fredricksburg and return around 4 PM. For those that have not been to Fredricksburg, there are many craft and antique stores downtown. It takes FOREVER to go through them all.

Shopping Oo. Oo. That sounds like fun :) I've heard alot about Fredricksburg but have never been. I'd love to go.

Kerrville Shopping Too - - YIPEE!!

I just found out that October 9th is Ker Market Days in Kerrville. If you go to Buckhornlake.com and look under local attractions and then events: this is what it talks about...

October 9th

Kerr County Market Days

Over 75 vendors featuring fresh produce, crafts including furniture makers, metal smiths and other art. Food vendors are also available offering BBQ sandwiches, turkey legs, German sausage, and other baked goodies. Hours are 9am-3pm. Kerr County Court House, 700 Main Street. For more information call 830. 895. 7962 or email at -- email address removed --.

Don't know how it matches up to Fredericksburg but thought I'd mention it as well. I'm up for either - or both.

See you @ Buckhorn. We're in space 6075 and should be there sometime Thursday.

Hi! This is Sue answering this time. I thought first hand answers and info might be best!

Last year I went to the Kerrville Trade Days before I drove to Fredricksburg. The weather was pretty gloomy and I didn't find much there. We can certainly stop there before Fredricksburg and see what they have. It only takes 20 to 30 minutes to get to Fredricksburg. Since you've never been to Fredricksburg I really think you'll love it. It's one of my favorite places. Way too many little shops and places to see in one day. I'll make reservations at the Peach Tree Tea room for lunch. It's really good and usually you need reservations on Saturday. I'll wait until Saturday morn to make them to see if anyone else wants to go with us.

I have a question for you. Is there anyway you could drive? I don't drive Jim's truck at all so I have to bring my car in order to drive. I can do that - I did it last year, but if you had an extra vehicle and could drive I would appreciate it. Again, no big deal - I can bring my car, just wasn't going to if I didn't have to. It's hard for me to be so close to Fredricksburg and not take a trip there. That's what I did year before last. I'm not going to do that again!!

Let me know what you think. Look forward to seeing you - we'll arrive Friday about mid day, hopefully.

I hope we can encourage some of the others to join us. It will be alot of fun!

Hey Pam, just to make Michael feel comfortable, don't spend any more money shopping, than he has spent on his truck :--)

It's Pam here...

Christine - the more the merrier. I think it'll be a fun trip!

I can drive - my truck will fit 4; I know of at least 2 others that would like to go too. Mrs. Gitchesum and Gitch's mom. And, I'm sure we can round up another vehicle or two depending on how many gals we have that want to go - - we can even steal a couple of the guys trucks if we have too; I can even take Michael's so we can make a fast get-a-way :D

For a while I thought we were getting ahead of the game and buying less stuff at those craft stores. I figured we already had one of everything. But I think we sold stuff a garage sale and we started collecting new stuff. (insert your preferred word for stuff)
