Just read in the newspaper where my local utility district is purchasing 25 new diesel generators due to the way below normal snowpack in the NW that will limit hydropower. The reason for the purchase is to fulfill power contracts to CA,we will still have more than enough hydro-power for the local area. Our power rates will not rise,we will just charge more for the exported power and the profits will pay for the generators in one year. Thanks for the free generators CA,why didn't you just go out and buy some yourself?
